We're seeking a proactive Logistics Coordinator to join our Perth-based team and play a vital role in delivering this major initiative.
About the Role
As a Logistics Coordinator, you'll report to the Logistics Manager and take charge of mobilising heavy plant and equipment to our Client’s supply base, ensuring compliance with cleaning, quarantine, and operational requirements.
- Logistics Coordination: Manage the mobilisation and transport of heavy industry plant and equipment to project sites, ensuring quarantine and cleaning standards are met.
- ERP Data Management: Maintain complete and accurate records in the ERP system to ensure smooth logistics operations.
- Supplier Communication: Maintain daily contact with suppliers to streamline supply chain processes and address any issues promptly.
- Heavy Haulage Management: Plan and oversee transportation logistics, adhering to WA’s safety and transportation regulations.
- Carrier Monitoring: Maintain regular contact with carriers to ensure timely pick-ups and on-time deliveries to customers.
- Compliance with Quarantine Protocols: Ensure all equipment meets strict quarantine requirements, including cleaning and certification.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate effectively with internal teams, Client representatives, suppliers, and contractors to ensure seamless logistics operations.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain comprehensive logistics records, including certifications, Asset tracking transport schedules, and cost tracking
What You’ll Bring
Essential Skills & Experience
- 3–5 years’ experience in logistics coordination, ideally within the industrial, construction, or oil & gas sectors.
- Hands-on experience with heavy haulage and mobilisation of industrial plant and equipment, including knowledge of required permits and regulations.
- Strong knowledge of WA transportation and quarantine requirements.
- Proficiency in ERP systems for data management and reporting.
Desirable Skills & Attributes
- Experience working in quarantine-sensitive areas.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Forklift and/or truck licenses to assist with operations.
