Liberty Industrial is currently seeking Demolition / Oxy Cutting Trainees for FIFO (Fly In, Fly Out) work on a major projects in Gove, NT. The roster is a 13-day fortnight, 3 weeks on and 1 week off.
We are looking to fill several positions.
This is a fantastic opportunity for enthusiastic young workers to begin their journey into the Demolition Industry.
This entry level position will provide plenty of opportunities for upskilling. As an example, our custom in-house training will allow you to progress from Beginner to Advanced oxy cutter.
We deliver our projects with the highest regard to safety and innovation. A pre-employment medical and Federal Police check is mandatory for all successful applicants.
Skills that are essential for the role:
- High levels of safety commitment.
- The role can be physical and as such a certain level of fitness is required.
- Eagerness to learn new skills.
Skills that are not essential but would be highly regarded for the role:
- Oxy-cutting experience.
- Heavy Vehicle (HR) Licence or above.
- On ground experience in demolition or civil/remediation projects.
- Scrap metal processing and handling.
- Telehandler / forklift ticket.
- EWP ticket.
- Experience in operating Excavators, Articulated Dump Trucks, Water Trucks and Service Trucks.
Additional allowances
- Penalty rates for overtime (average 65 hours per week);
- Accommodation and meals provided;
- Travel hours to remote project and return paid;
- Daily $25 Remote Camp Allowance;
- Crib allowance; and
- Income Protection Insurance.
Liberty Industrial uses an Enterprise Agreement to classify an employee's skills and experience and therefore, their hourly rate. This can be discussed in more detail during the interview.
