Job Description

Liberty Industrial is seeking a Multiskilled Asbestos Worker for our Victorian project. As a Multiskilled Asbestos Worker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient handling of asbestos-related tasks within the project. This permanent, full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a significant project in the mining industry. Key responsibilities and tasks include:

  • Performing asbestos removal and remediation tasks in compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards.
  • Operating specialised equipment and tools for asbestos handling and disposal.
  • Conducting thorough risk assessments and implementing appropriate control measures to mitigate potential hazards associated with asbestos work.
  • Working collaboratively with project teams to coordinate asbestos-related activities in alignment with project timelines and objectives.
  • Maintaining accurate records of asbestos removal activities, including waste disposal documentation and monitoring reports.
  • Participating in regular training sessions to stay updated on best practices, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies related to asbestos management.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Hold a valid Class A or B (unrestricted) asbestos removal licence
  • Demonstrated experience in safely removing and disposing of asbestos materials
  • Ability to interpret and follow work orders, specifications, and procedures
  • Proficient in using personal protective equipment (PPE) and respiratory protective equipment (RPE)
  • Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations related to asbestos removal
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a team environment
  • Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately
