Job Description
Liberty Industrial is seeking a Multiskilled Asbestos Worker for our Victorian project. As a Multiskilled Asbestos Worker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient handling of asbestos-related tasks within the project. This permanent, full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a significant project in the mining industry. Key responsibilities and tasks include:
Performing asbestos removal and remediation tasks in compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards.
Operating specialised equipment and tools for asbestos handling and disposal.
Conducting thorough risk assessments and implementing appropriate control measures to mitigate potential hazards associated with asbestos work.
Working collaboratively with project teams to coordinate asbestos-related activities in alignment with project timelines and objectives.
Maintaining accurate records of asbestos removal activities, including waste disposal documentation and monitoring reports.
Participating in regular training sessions to stay updated on best practices, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies related to asbestos management.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to upholding safety as the highest priority. Desired Skills and Experience
Hold a valid Class A or B (unrestricted) asbestos removal licence
Demonstrated experience in safely removing and disposing of asbestos materials
Ability to interpret and follow work orders, specifications, and procedures
Proficient in using personal protective equipment (PPE) and respiratory protective equipment (RPE)
Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations related to asbestos removal
Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a team environment
Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately
