The Opportunity

We are seeking motivated Project Engineers to join our team on FIFO rosters from major airports Australia-wide. You will have the opportunity to work on diverse and nationally significant projects across multiple states and territories. This role will see you play a key part in planning, coordinating, and delivering works to the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Planning & Coordination – develop schedules, plans, and resource forecasts while supporting the Project Manager.

  • Technical Engineering Support – review methodologies, drawings, and documentation; prepare engineering work packs and ITPs.

  • Cost & Commercial Management – track costs, budgets, and assist with claims and variations.

  • Quality & Compliance – ensure works meet standards and client requirements, maintaining strong project records.

  • Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) – support Liberty’s HSEQ culture through risk assessments, SWMS, and incident reviews.

  • Stakeholder & Team Engagement – liaise with clients, subcontractors, and mentor junior team members.

  • Reporting & Progress Tracking – provide updates, maintain dashboards, and flag risks early with mitigation plans.

Desired Skills and Experience

About You

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.

  • Demonstrated experience in civil remediation, demolition, or heavy industrial projects.

  • Strong planning and coordination skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.

  • Must have excellent communication both verbal and written

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills.

  • Proficient with project management and reporting tools.

  • Valid driver’s licence and willingness to work FIFO from major cities.

  • Previous FIFO experience is desirable but not essential. Must be able to commit to FIFO roster
