About the Role
The Operations & Resource Coordinator acts as the central hub for all national operational activity, supporting the Chief of Operations Support and partnering closely with Project Managers, Fleet, HSEQ, and People & Culture teams.
In this high-impact role, you will coordinate the mobilisation of personnel and plant across multiple concurrent projects, maintain compliance and training records, and ensure smooth, efficient, and timely resourcing to support safe and successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate the national deployment of personnel and plant, ensuring resources are delivered to each project accurately and on schedule.
Maintain accurate records of licences, certifications, training, and plant compliance to support safe and seamless project delivery.
Act as the central communication point between Project Managers, Fleet, HSEQ, People & Culture, and Senior Leadership.
Monitor resource plans and utilisation data to identify gaps, forecast needs, and support operational decision-making.
Refine and maintain the central resource allocation process to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
Ensure all personnel and equipment meet relevant safety, compliance, and client requirements prior to mobilisation.
Support recruitment and onboarding processes by coordinating mobilisation information for new starters.
Collaborate with fleet/workshop teams to schedule plant allocation, transport, and critical maintenance.
Help mitigate operational risks by identifying pressure points early and implementing strong controls.
Desired Skills and Experience
About You
You are organised, proactive, and thrive in a high-volume operational role. You enjoy coordinating moving parts, working under pressure, and contributing to the seamless delivery of large-scale projects.
You will bring:
3–5 years’ experience in high-volume coordination role within demolition, civil, construction, mining, or similar heavy industry.
Experience mobilising large mobile workforces (300+ personnel) and/or heavy plant.
High proficiency in scheduling tools, ERP systems, MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
Strong communication and negotiation skills, able to liaise confidently across all levels.
Ability to analyse resource data, identify gaps, and propose practical solutions.
Understanding of fleet & heavy vehicle regulations/chain of responsibility is a plus.
Tertiary qualifications in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or Project Management desirable.
