Job Description
We are seeking a Project Engineer to join our Melbourne operations on a DIDO roster. You’ll work across civil remediation, demolition and environmental projects, supporting planning, coordination and delivery to the highest standards.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on project work, thrives in fast-paced environments, and is ready to step into a position with real responsibility.
What You Will Be Doing
Project Planning & Coordination
Assist with detailed project plans, schedules and resourcing
Work closely with the Project Manager to meet scope, budget and program requirements
Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams
Technical Engineering Support
Review drawings, specifications and technical documents
Provide engineering input into methodologies, sequencing and temporary works
Prepare work packs, calculations and ITPs
Cost & Commercial Management
Monitor project costs, budgets and forecasts
Assist with progress claims, variations and procurement activities
Quality & Compliance
Conduct inspections, audits and testing
Ensure works meet standards, specifications and client requirements
Maintain accurate documentation and as-built records
Health, Safety & Environment
Contribute to risk assessments, SWMS and JHAs
Promote and maintain a strong HSEQ culture
Support incident investigations and improvement initiatives
Stakeholder Engagement
Liaise with clients, consultants and authorities
Support junior engineers and supervisors
Build strong working relationships with all project stakeholders
Desired Skills and Experience
About You
• Degree in Civil Engineering (or similar)
• Experience in civil remediation, demolition, or heavy industry
• Strong planning, organisational and communication skills
• Proficient with project management and reporting systems
• Valid driver’s licence
• Previous DIDO or site-based experience is desirable
