We are currently seeking an experienced HSEQ Manager to support upcoming projects based in Western Australia. This critical role will work closely with the HSEQ and Project teams to establish HSEQ systems, processes, and risk controls during the project planning phase. The successful candidate will take on a 2/1 roster as a site-based HSEQ Manager to provide leadership throughout the delivery of designated projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve HSEQ policies and management systems.
- Conduct audits, risk assessments, and major incident investigations.
- Ensure full compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and best practices.
- Lead and develop the HSEQ team, fostering a proactive and safety-first culture.
- Collaborate with project managers, supervisors, and stakeholders to align HSEQ objectives.
- Provide expert advice and support on all project-related HSEQ matters.
- Lead investigations and implement strategies to drive continuous improvements in safety and quality performance.
- Develop and deliver training programs to enhance workforce safety awareness and competency.
Your Background
- Minimum of 5 years of HSEQ management experience in mining, oil & gas, construction or civil sectors.
- Advanced Diploma or higher in WHS/OHS. Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is desirable.
- Extensive experience and highly skilled in incident investigation.
- Strong leadership capability to actively promote and embed HSEQ standards across the organisation.
- Proven ability to drive change and deliver education to the workforce through training and assessment.
- Advanced risk management skills with proactive hazard identification.
- Sound understanding and awareness of Psychosocial Health and Wellbeing.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Proficiency in HSEQ management systems and reporting tools. Donesafe or other similar platform would be highly regarded.
