About the Role

Liberty Industrial is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to play a hands-on, influential role across our People & Culture function. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, operational environment and enjoys partnering closely with leaders and employees to deliver practical, people-focused outcomes.

You’ll support the business across organisational development, employee and industrial relations, performance management, remuneration, compliance, and engagement initiatives, helping build a high-performing, resilient, and values-led workforce in a predominantly blue-collar environment

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with leaders to support organisational development, workforce capability, and change initiatives
  • Manage employee and industrial relations matters, including grievances, performance issues, and disciplinary processes
  • Support remuneration, benefits, and reward initiatives to ensure market competitiveness and internal equity
  • Deliver employee engagement initiatives, wellbeing programs, and retention strategies
  • Analyse HR metrics (turnover, absenteeism, engagement data) to support informed decision-making
  • Support succession planning and internal mobility initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation, awards, and company policies
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and sustainability within HR operations
  • Act as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees across Australia and the UK
  • Occasional travel to site will be required

Desired Skills and Experience

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven organisational development and industrial / employee relations experience within a blue-collar or industrial environment
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels
  • Digitally savvy with a growth mindset, comfortable using HR systems, data, and technology to drive better outcomes

Bonus Points If You Have

  • Experience operating in an HR Business Partner capacity
  • Exposure to engagement surveys, remuneration reviews, and employee wellbeing initiatives
  • Experience supporting change initiatives such as workforce growth, transformation, or integration

What You’ll Bring

  • 3–5+ years’ experience in a generalist HR role
  • Strong working knowledge of Australian employment legislation and industrial relations frameworks
  • Confidence handling sensitive matters with professionalism, discretion, and fairness
  • Ability to work autonomously while collaborating closely with leaders and the broader People & Culture team
  • A pragmatic, solutions-focused approach aligned to operational realities
