The Role
We’re searching for a Senior Project Engineer to join our delivery team on one of Liberty Industrial’s flagship projects in Gove, NT.
This FIFO 2/1 position offers the chance to step into a central leadership role — driving planning, execution and delivery across a major industrial works program. You’ll influence outcomes, collaborate with experienced professionals, and help shape a project that will leave a lasting legacy.
No two days are the same, and your expertise will be relied on from day one.
What You’ll Lead
Drive project schedules, resources and deliverables by coordinating work fronts, monitoring progress in real time, and ensuring all activities remain aligned with the project program and critical path.
Work closely with internal teams, clients and subcontractors to maintain seamless communication, resolve issues quickly, and ensure all stakeholders are aligned on scope, sequencing, and expectations.
Provide technical leadership across the project, offering guidance on methodologies, construction techniques, temporary works, design queries, and onsite challenges. You’ll mentor junior engineers and support supervisors to deliver quality outcomes.
Champion Liberty’s safety, environmental and quality standards, ensuring that all activities comply with HSEQ requirements and supporting the development of a positive and proactive safety culture across site.
Oversee QA/QC processes, including preparation and review of ITPs, MDRs, checklists and compliance documentation, ensuring that work meets specifications, client requirements and regulatory obligations.
Prepare accurate project documentation, including daily/weekly reports, progress updates, cost forecasts, productivity tracking and schedule reports for internal and client review.
Identify risks early, analysing potential impacts to program, cost, quality and safety, and lead the implementation of practical, achievable mitigation strategies that keep the project moving forward.
Support planning and execution of complex shutdown, demolition and remediation activities, contributing to methodologies and engineering solutions that underpin successful delivery.
Build strong working relationships with site teams, fostering a collaborative environment that drives efficiency, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.
