We are currently seeking an experienced HSEQ Lead to support upcoming projects based in Western Australia. The successful candidate will work closely with the HSEQ and Project teams to establish HSEQ systems, processes, and risk controls during the project planning phase.

Job Description

The role will be based at our Perth office and require adhoc site travel, including occasional FIFO relief, with the opportunity to take on site-based projects depending on business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to HSEQ requirements for project planning, including the development of HSEQ systems, processes, and risk controls.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve HSEQ policies and management systems.
  • Lead, oversee and develop the HSEQ teams on-site, providing guidance and fostering a proactive and safety-first culture.
  • Facilitate audits, risk assessments, and major incident investigations.
  • Ensure full compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with project managers, supervisors, and stakeholders to align HSEQ objectives.
  • Provide expert advice and support on all project-related HSEQ matters.
  • Lead investigations and implement strategies to drive continuous improvements in safety and quality performance.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to enhance workforce safety awareness and competency.
  • Provide adhoc FIFO relief and travel to site as required.

Your Background

  • Minimum of 5 years of HSEQ experience in mining, oil & gas, construction or civil sectors.
  • ​​​​​​​Advanced Diploma or higher in WHS/OHS. Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is desirable.
  • Demonstrated leadership capability to actively promote and embed HSEQ standards across the organisation.
  • Strong understanding of audit and compliance.
  • Extensive experience and highly skilled in incident investigation.
  • Proven ability to drive change and deliver education to the workforce through training and assessment.
  • Advanced risk management skills with proactive hazard identification.
  • Sound understanding and awareness of Psychosocial Health and Wellbeing.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Proficiency in HSEQ management systems and reporting tools. Donesafe or other similar platform would be highly regarded.
