Job Description

We are seeking a Contract Administrator to join our team on a key demolition project in Altona, Melbourne. This is a fixed-term 12 months contract with high possibility for extension. Great opportunity to be part of large-scale, complex industrial decommissioning project, working alongside experienced project and commercial leaders while developing your career in a high-performing environment.

You will play a critical role in managing project costs, contracts, and commercial outcomes from start to finish.

Desired Skills and Experience

Key Responsibilities Include: 

  • Support administration of the head contract and subcontracts, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements
  • Support the preparation and management of variations, extensions of time (EOTs), and claims, including documentation, cost build-ups, and contractual justification
  • Monitor, track, and report on project costs, budgets, and forecasts, highlighting risks and opportunities to the project team
  • Assist with procurement activities, including sourcing, tendering, evaluation, and onboarding of subcontractors
  • Prepare and contribute to progress claims, valuations, and client reporting, ensuring accuracy and alignment with contract requirements
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date commercial records, registers, and documentation 
  • Work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and site teams to ensure commercial alignment with project delivery and programme outcomes
  • Identify and escalate commercial risks and opportunities, supporting proactive management across the project lifecycle

About You

You’re a commercially astute and detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced project environment and is looking to build your career on complex, high-impact work.

  • 3–5 years’ experience as a Contract Administrator or in a similar commercial/project role
  • Proven experience working with a Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractor
  • Background across construction, civil, or demolition projects
  • Exposure to cost control, forecasting, or project cost tracking (highly regarded)
  • Familiarity with project scheduling tools preferred (e.g. Primavera P6 or similar)
  • Experience supporting or contributing to tendering / bid processes (advantageous)

You bring strong attention to detail, a proactive mindset, and the confidence to work closely with both site and commercial teams to deliver successful project outcomes.
