Join an award-winning contractor delivering complex industrial, demolition, and remediation projects across Australia.
Liberty Industrial is currently seeking Project Engineers to support key projects across Northwest Australia, with the added benefit of access to other current and future projects closer to Perth where practicable. These roles are suited to engineers with strong site-based delivery experience who can take ownership of scopes, develop practical work packs, and support safe, efficient execution in remote environments.
This is not a purely theoretical role. It is designed for an engineer who understands how work is executed on site and can translate that knowledge into structured, practical, and effective delivery.
The Opportunity
FIFO role across Northwest WA mining and resource projects
2:1 roster (14 days on / 7 days off)
10–12 hour days depending on project requirements
Work within remote, large-scale operational environments
Opportunity to step into increased responsibility and scope ownership
Job Description
Requirements
Technical & Practical Experience
Project or Site Engineer experience across industrial, Oil & Gas, demolition, remediation, civil, or construction
Proven delivery in live project environments
Strong site exposure: workfront coordination, sequencing, and constructability
Solid understanding of SWMS, work plans, and risk management in practice
Knowledge of plant interfaces, exclusion zones, and SIMOPS
Ability to review methodologies and identify risks, gaps, and improvements
Hands-on engineering background with practical site application
Planning & Production
Understanding of sequencing, critical path, and productivity drivers
Experience with work packs, methodologies, and short-term planning
Ability to translate plans into clear, actionable steps
Problem Solving & Delivery
Strong practical problem-solving skills
Ability to challenge and improve approaches
Comfortable in fast-paced site environments
Commercial Awareness
Understanding of cost, program, and productivity impacts
Exposure to subcontractor coordination and procurement
Communication & Stakeholder Engagement
Clear, professional communication style
Ability to direct crews and subcontractors effectively
Confident engaging with stakeholders and raising issues early with solutions
