About the Role
We’re seeking a talented Plant or Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our Somersby NSW Workshop team. You’ll play a vital role in maintaining and repairing heavy machinery, ensuring high safety and performance standards. In this role you’ll have the chance to work with an impressive fleet of demolition machinery.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine preventative maintenance and unscheduled repairs on plant and equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults.
- Order parts, maintain accurate plant registers, and complete maintenance documentation.
- Follow and enforce all Health, Safety & Environmental policies.
What We’re Looking For:
- Trade-qualified Heavy Diesel or Plant Mechanic with heavy industry experience.
- Valid driver’s licence.
- Positive attitude, a team player and strong work ethic.
- Strong diagnostic skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety.
Nice to Have:
- Machining experience
- Auto electrical experience
- High risk work licence - dogging, forklift
- First Aid certificate
The successful candidate must undergo full pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening and Federal Police Check prior to employment.
