Liberty Industrial is seeking experienced Oxy Cutters to join our team on a 3/1 FIFO roster supporting a major industrial demolition and closure project in Gove, NT.
This is a hands-on role working within a high-performing crew on a complex industrial site. Job Description
As an Oxy Cutter, you will be responsible for supporting demolition and dismantling activities across site while maintaining safe and productive work practices.
Key responsibilities include:
• Oxy cutting of structural steel, pipework, conveyors and industrial assets
• Performing drop cuts, lift cuts and controlled structural separation works
• Supporting demolition and dismantling activities across industrial environments
• Assisting crews with manual labour and ground-based activities as required
• Following SWMS, permits, Take 5s and site safety procedures
• Working closely with Supervisors, Operators and project teams to complete works safely and efficiently
• Conducting pre-starts and ensuring tools/equipment are maintained and fit for purpose
• Contributing to a strong safety culture on site
Desired Skills and Experience
To be successful, you will ideally have:
• Minimum 2+ years oxy cutting experience within demolition, shutdown, industrial, construction, mining or heavy industry environments
• Experience with structural steel cutting, demolition works or industrial dismantling
• Ability to read and follow site instructions, permits and SWMS
• White Card (mandatory)
• Working at Heights and Confined Space (desirable)
• EWP, HRWL, dogging, rigging or forklift tickets (advantageous)
• Strong safety focus and willingness to work as part of a team
• Comfortable working in physically demanding environments and outside in varying conditions
• Willingness to assist with labouring and ground support activities when required
• FIFO experience highly regarded
