About the Role:

Liberty Industrial, a leader in deconstruction and remediation, is looking for a qualified HSEQ Manager to lead health, safety, environment, and quality initiatives at our Argyle Project Western Australia. Job Description

The Opportunity:

The Argyle Project is one of our flagship decommissioning and remediation projects, involving complex site work in a challenging environment. This large-scale operation includes the safe removal of hazardous materials, the deconstruction of infrastructure, and ensuring compliance with environmental and safety regulations. As the HSEQ Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing the safety and quality aspects of this project, driving initiatives that protect the workforce and the environment while achieving project goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement HSEQ policies and management systems
  • Conduct audits, risk assessments, and major incident investigations
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
  • Manage, mentor, and develop the HSEQ team, fostering a proactive safety culture
  • Lead investigations and drive continuous improvements in HSEQ outcomes
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to drive ongoing improvements in safety performance
  • Provide guidance and support to Project Managers, Supervisors, and Stakeholders on project-specific HSSQ reporting and analysis, ensuring alignment with client and management requirements

Essential Criteria:

  • Minimum 5 years of HSEQ experience in the Mining, Oil & Gas, or Civil sectors
  • Advanced Diploma or higher in WHS/OHS
  • Proven track record in managing and developing successful HSEQ teams - Lead, mentor, and develop the HSEQ team, utilizing your strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring abilities.
  • With excellent communication and interpersonal skills, you will effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels while fostering a proactive safety culture
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
  • Extensive experience conducting major investigations
  • Previous experience working on Rio Tinto projects is highly desirable
