This is a high-impact, revenue-critical leadership role focused on winning major contracts across mining, oil & gas, power generation, and government sectors.

Job Description

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Chief Growth Officer, you will be responsible for driving new business wins of $50M–$100M annually, building a strong pipeline, and positioning Liberty Industrial as the partner of choice for complex industrial decommissioning projects.

You’ll operate at the top end of the market, engaging directly with Tier 1 asset owners, C-suite stakeholders, and major infrastructure clients, while leading pursuits for large-scale contracts ($10M–$50M+).

What You’ll Be Doing

Winning Work

  • Lead the identification, pursuit, and conversion of major opportunities across target sectors
  • Deliver $50M–$100M in new revenue annually
  • Build and maintain a $200M–$400M qualified pipeline
  • Win complex, high-value contracts with Tier 1 clients

Strategic Client Engagement

  • Develop executive-level relationships with key customers (mining, energy, government)
  • Position Liberty as a trusted advisor in asset closure and remediation
  • Build strategic account plans and drive repeat business

Leading Tenders & Deals

  • Lead end-to-end tender processes for major opportunities
  • Develop compelling win strategies and value propositions
  • Structure and negotiate commercially sound deals aligned with risk and margin targets

Market & Growth Strategy

  • Execute sector-based BD strategies aligned with Liberty’s growth priorities
  • Identify emerging opportunities across Australia and support international expansion
  • Provide market intelligence to shape strategic direction

Internal Leadership

  • Lead cross-functional pursuit teams (estimating, operations, HSE, finance)
  • Work closely with the Executive Team on major opportunities
  • Support capability development across the BD function

About You

You’re a proven dealmaker in heavy industry with a strong track record of winning major contracts and building trusted client relationships.

Key Experience

  • 10–15+ years in business development, sales, or commercial roles
  • Proven success winning $50M+ annually in project-based revenue
  • Experience across Heavy Industrial sectors such as Mining, Oil & Gas, Power generation
  • Strong network with Tier 1 clients 
  • Experience leading complex tenders and negotiating large-scale contracts
